According to the survey published by the Forschungsgruppe Wahlen on November 16, 2024, the CDU/CSU would have received 32 percent of the vote if there had been a federal election in Germany on the Sunday after the survey. The SPD would have been well behind the Union with 16 percent of the vote. The right-wing populist party AfD received 19 percent in the Forschungsgruppe's Sunday question, while Die Grünen came in at 10 percent.
