Claudia Sheinbaum was appointed the first female president of Mexico during the 2024 general elections, with over 57 percent of the votes. During her first months as president, Sheinbaum recorded an approval rate of 70 percent. Nonetheless, for Mexicans that support an opposition party the approval rate drops to 32 percent.
