Hydrogen cleantech investments in the European Union (EU-27) reached 0.9 billion euros in the first three quarters of 2024. Annual investments in hydrogen cleantech in the EU-27 have seen considerable growth since 2021 as the bloc looks decarbonize existing fossil-based hydrogen production and other sectors such as transportation and steel production. Europe's clean hydrogen market is projected to reach a value of almost 90 billion U.S. dollars per year by 2030.
