On 7th November 2024, the German Chancellor, Olaf Scholz, dismissed the FDP party leader Christian Lindner who held the position of the finance minister. This caused the FDP to leave the government coalition, meaning that the government no longer had a majority. 37 percent of FDP supporters found this situation to be not good. In contrast, 71 percent of GrĂ¼ne supporters thought it was good.
