In 2023, the residential segment had the largest capacity additions of solar PV energy at 3,767 megawatts, although this was a decrease of nearly 19 percent compared to a year before. The commercial segment saw its largest increase of solar PV energy during the period under consideration, adding 2,315 megawatts of capacity in 2023.
