PS4 vs PS5 LTD player spend first 4 years FY 2023

Compared to its predecessor, the PlayStation 4, the PlayStation 5 boasts a higher life-to-date spending per active console. When comparing the cumulative spend attributed per active device over the first 4 years of each console lifecycle (LTD to FY23 for PS5 and LTD to FY16 for PS4), the PS5 came out on top with 731 U.S. dollars in spend per console. The PS4 only generated 580 U.S. dollars per console during the corresponding period of its lifecycle.
