As of 2023, Algeria was the leading country in terms of goods exported from Africa to the European Union (EU). That year, the country's total merchandise exports to the EU reached around 35.4 billion euros. This was followed by South Africa and Morocco, with around 23.6 billion euros and 23.5 billion euros, respectively.
