In a survey conducted in 2023, around half of respondents who decided against buying an electric car stated that they would not buy an e-car due to the limited range and therefore would rather opt for a combustion engine. Another 43 percent of respondents stated the high acquisition costs as one of the main reasons for not buying an electric car.
