As of 2024, private equity (PE) professionals seen measures such as cost reduction and add-on acquisitions as important to portfolio management and/or value creation; However, the vast majority of measures were expected to decrease in importance in the coming five years. New products & services, digitization/data analytics, AI integration, and ESG were the four measures with a positive increase. ESG (environmental, social, and governance) seen an increase of five percentage points, as 13 percent of survey respondents noted ESG as an important measure for the next five years.
