Share of Chinese tourists in Israel January-September 2023, by purpose of visit

Between January and September 2023, 39 percent of Chinese citizens visiting Israel, arrived for business. This was the most common reason given by Chinese visitors. On the other hand, 27 percent of respondents from China arrived for the purpose of touring and sightseeing, and 19 percent for a holiday. Interestingly, 15 percent of respondents said their visit was related to study and research, the highest share among all nationalities.
