In 2023, the recycling volume of textiles in China amounted to around two billion yuan, a 16 percent increase compared to the previous year. With the rise of fast fashion, the amount of textile waste has increased. Textile recycling is difficult and costly, which is why a lot of textile waste ends up in landfills or as fuel.
