Around 61 percent of female owners of an e-cargo bike use it to transport shopping or groceries, while around 44 percent of male e-cargo bike owners reported using it for the same purpose, according to a bike study published by linexo by Wertgarantie in 2024. Transporting shopping was followed by transporting children as the most commonly reported use of an e-cargo bike purpose, around a third of women reported using their bike for this purpose.
