According to a bike study published by linexo by Wertgarantie in 2024, transporting shopping and groceries is the most common reason for using a cargo bike reported by cargo bike owners. Over half of e-cargo bike owners report using their bike for this purpose, while around 45 percent of manual cargo bike owners use their bike for shopping.
