In a survey conducted in mainland China in late 2023, approximately nine out of ten respondents either strongly agreed or somewhat agreed that society should accept the members of LGBTQ community. However, three percent still strongly disagreed with this statement.

Among survey participants, 48 percent were male and 52 percent were female. Additionally, 89 percent had higher education. 71 percent had more than 7,000 yuan of monthly income. Mean age of the participants was 34.2 years.
