In July 2024, a new 11-year media rights deal was struck between the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Disney, NBC, and Amazon. Part of this deal included an increase in TV rights income for the Women's National Basketball Association, the majority of which is owned by the NBA. Under this new deal, the annual value of the broadcast rights revenue received by the WNBA was set to quadruple from an estimated 50 million U.S. dollars in 2024 and 2025 to 200 million U.S. dollars between 2026 and 2036.

Broadcast deals for 2025 could change before the beginning of the season, and the 11-year deal from 2026 onwards can also be reassessed three-years into the agreement.Â
