According to a survey conducted in March 2024, 13 percent of the respondents from Australia indicated they were already informed about advertisements on retail websites as well as on non-retail websites. At the same time, another 21 percent responded to being curious to find out more about advertisement on retail websites. Ads on social media seemed to be the least interesting for the questioned Australians.
