Lego was the leading brand for building blocks in China in terms of online sales. In the 12 months ending in February 2024, the Danish plastic construction toy manufacturer accounted for 37.6 percent of the total building block sales value on China's four major e-commerce platforms, including Douyin, JD.com, Taobao, and Tmall. Nevertheless, it experienced a negative growth of 35.4 percent year-over-year, amidst intense competition from domestic brands.
