Between 2013 and 2022, the share of EU heat energy production originating from oil and petroleum experienced a negative tendency. In 2022, it accounted for approximately 3.2 percent. The lowest share of oil and petroleum use for heating was recorded in 2021, when it accounted for roughly 2.21 percent of heat production in the EU.
