Asia: natural gas demand distribution by sector 2024

In Asia, the industrial and power sectors were the main consumers of natural gas from 2019 to 2023, a trend expected to continue into 2024. The industrial sector's share of the region's demand steadily increased during this period and is forecasted to exceed 36 percent in 2024. Meanwhile, the power sector experienced a gradual decline in its share of natural gas demand from 2019 to 2023, with a forecasted fall to just over 31 percent in 2024.
