According to a survey conducted in the fourth quarter of 2023 in the Asia-Pacific region, nearly 60 percent of respondents were open to AI-assisted preventive care, such as personalized diet plans, fitness training, and supplement recommendations. Meanwhile, just over 30 percent reported feeling comfortable with AI-backed decision support regarding the treatment of severe health conditions or urgent cases, such as persistent chest pain or coughing up blood.

Data presents respondents that were comfortable with AI-backed decision support across select use cases.
Preventive care/wellness use cases include fitness activities, nutrition plans, diets, and supplements specific to medical conditions, etc.
Less severe physical condition use cases include treatment for persistent cough, examination of persistent stomachache, and treatment for food poisoning, etc.
Mental health care use cases include management of anxiety, stress, and depression, etc.
More severe/emergency physical condition use cases include examination for persistent chest pain and coughing up blood, etc.
23 responses were excluded where the severe physical condition use case was chosen but not preventive care.
