In the United States, of the adults who had experience with a long-term care (LTC) facility (themselves or a loved one) in the past two years, nearly seven in ten were very or somewhat satisfied with the quality of care they received. For adults who had help from paid nurses or aides, the satisfaction with the quality of care they received was even higher, at 78 percent. However, LTC service users were much less satisfied with the cost of care, whether in an institution or received at home.
