In 2022, some 44 percent of Gen Zs surveyed in the U.S. reported that cost was the main reason they had not used healthcare for their medical needs in the past year. Another 43 percent of Gen Z respondents mentioned that embarrassment/lack of trust prevented them from using healthcare for their medical needs.
