In 2023, Peruvian fintechs relied heavily on personal networks and early-stage investors for financing. Friends and family emerged as the most prevalent funding source, with nearly 60 percent of all fintechs receiving financial support from these close connections. Angel investors also played a crucial role in the ecosystem, providing funding to half of the fintech companies.
