In 2023, electrified vehicles accounted for a total market share of 41 percent of new cars in Israel. More specifically, 18 percent of new cars that year were battery electric vehicles (BEVs), 17 percent regular hybrids, and six percent plug-in hybrids (PHEV). Since 2020, the fastest growing segment of the automotive market has been that of BEVs.
