In the first half of 2024, Chinese apps Homework Helper and audiobook app Himalaya had the highest number of daily active users (DAU) among education apps on iOS, over 10 million, despite servicing primarily the Chinese-speaking market. Language learning app Duolingo, which is the most popular language learning app worldwide, also reported around 10 million DAU in the examined period. Google Crassroom had approximately five million DAU in the first six months of 2024.
