In a 2024 survey, one-third of companies in the EU had one employee who held a cybersecurity position. Moreover, 45 percent of small companies employing one to nine people had no cybersecurity role. By contrast, 12 percent of large businesses with over 250 workers employed more than 10 people for cybersecurity positions.
