In 2024, when asked in a survey, 41 percent of consumers aged between 25 and 34 in the United Kingdom stated that the amount of ultra-processed foods they bought during the last three months had increased. Among those consumers between the ages of 55 and 65, the share of participants who stated that their purchases of such food had increased recently was about 13 percent.
