Android apps global retention rates H1 2024, by category

During the first six months of 2024, comics apps had the highest retention rate among Android users worldwide. Apps in the comics category registered a 36 percent retention rate after one day from install, which dropped to 13 percent after a month. Events apps followed, with a 32 percent retention rate on the first day after install, which experienced a decrease to eight percent after 30 days. Android weather apps, as well as news apps, presented a retention rate of 11 percent after 30 days from the first install as of the examined period.
