In a July 2024 survey regarding plant-based product consumption in Australia, over 40 percent of respondents who were trialing plant-based foods classified their consumption as a replacement for the foods they had been consuming at the time. In comparison, almost 60 percent of those surveyed classified their plant-based food consumption as an addition to their current diet rather than a replacement.
