In 2024, the statutory health insurance funds with the highest contribution rates in Germany were Bahn-BKK and KNAPPSCHAFT, offering rates of 16.8 percent. Statutory health insurance contributions in Germany are made up of the general contribution rate plus the individual additional contribution rate. The general contribution rate is the same for all statutory health insurance funds and currently stands at 14.6 percent.
