In 2024, more than half of Swedish respondents born in the 1990s and 2000s used their mobile phone for payment to access their digital wallet when paying in physical stores. Those usually using mobile wallet payment were those born in the 2000s, with 38 percent using their phone for payment. Moreover, 15 percent of those born between the 1920s to 1940s utilized this function to pay in physical stores.
