A survey in England in 2024 revealed that, in general, younger people were more likely to have attended an in-person eSports contest or video game competition event in the past year. During the survey, only two percent of respondents aged 35 to 39 stated that they had taken part in such an event. This figure doubled to four percent among respondents aged 16 to 19.
