By the end of 2023, the availability of 5G service provided by Jio reached nearly 70 percent. It was more than twice in comparison with Jio's competitor Airtel. The overall 5G availability was at 52 percent during the same period. During the fourth quarter of the year, the median download speed of 5G service in India reached more than 300 megabits per second (Mbps).
