On the PC gaming platform Steam, cooperative games have gained immense popularity over the last few years. This is also reflected in the number of co-op game releases - in 2023, 799 co-op games were released on Steam, up from 647 in 2020. In cooperative games, players team up and work together against the environment or non-player opponents.
