Japanese consumers in their twenties were the most likely to buy on impulse due to pop-up ads, according to a survey conducted in November 2023. Around 26.8 percent of respondents aged 20 to 29 years stated that pop-ups online stimulated their purchase desire. The effectiveness of these types of advertisements declined with higher age groups.
