The total number of electric cars and light commercial vehicles newly licensed in this sector specifically has risen from only 91 vehicles in 2019 to a total of 3,787 vehicles in 2023. The vehicle type with the largest share as of 2023 are hybrid electric vehicles, with 2,221 cars licensed, which represents a share of about 59 percent.
