In 2023, Chinese carmakers had a lower reference price for battery-electric vehicles across the recorded segments. The steepest contrast was for large sport-utility vehicles, where Chinese-branded BEVs had a reference price just over 70,300 euros. This was over 21,800 euros cheaper than a large SUV from a non-Chinese automaker.
