Get in touch with us nowRecently, climate activists have sought new ways to protest. Next to the more traditional protest marches, Greta Thunberg and the Fridays for Future movement started to organize school strikes. Additionally, more radical groups such as Extinction Rebellion, Letze Generation, and Just Stop Oil have emerged, which have been involved in road blockages, blockages of runways, and throwing food and paint at art objects such as Vincent Van Gogh's Sunflowers.
A survey from 2024 from Norway shows that these more radical forms of support receive extremely little support among the population. Non-violent protests such as protest marches are the only form of climate activism that receives support from a majority of the respondents.
