During a spring 2024 survey carried out in Europe, 30 percent of responding advertisers (buy-side) and 41 percent of responding retailers and retail media networks (RMNs) (sell-side) said they thought that third-party cookie deprecation was the key retail media growth area over the following 12 months. The survey was carried out before the July 2024 Google announcement that it would not be deprecating cookies.
