In 2023, Egypt was the country receiving the highest value of private funds for infrastructure in Africa, with almost 2.3 billion U.S. dollars. South Africa and Senegal followed, with around 1.04 billion and 316 million U.S. dollars, respectively. Between 2010 and 2022, the African continent accumulated over 21.6 billion U.S. dollars of private investments.
