Market share of popular fish species in domestic consumption in Germany 2021-2023

In 2023, with a market share of almost 19 percent, salmon was the most popular fish species among German consumers. Alaska pollack and tuna followed in second and third place, with market shares of around 17 and 12 percent. Shares fluctuated slightly over the past three years, but remained mostly constant.
