In a survey conducted by Milieu Insight on working women in Singapore conducted on April 2024, 54 percent of respondents stated that they did not extend their allocated maternity leave or took unpaid leave to take more time off for childcare. In Singapore, working mothers are entitled to 16 or 12 weeks' of paid maternity leave, depending on certain criteria being met.
