According to a survey conducted by Rakuten Insight in July 2024 in Taiwan, social media emerged as the primary source for luxury goods information, with 64 percent of female respondents and 53 percent of male respondents identifying it as their main resource for luxury goods information. Brand websites, and physical stores were also important information sources for many of the respondents.

The question was phrased by the source as follows: "Where do you see/find the most information about luxury brands' goods? (Choose up to 3 of the most relevant answers)"
Among a total of 10,065 survey respondents, 6,152 were women and 3,913 were men.
