Opinions of Europeans on tourist tax fees to reduce overtourism worldwide 2024

An August 2024 survey analyzed the opinions of Europeans on introducing a tourist tax fee to enter popular global cities to limit overtourism. As of that month, 54 percent of respondents in Spain either strongly or somewhat supported this idea. While 53 percent of the sample in Denmark said the same, less than half of surveyed Italians and Britons supported this initiative.
