According to a survey on live commerce conducted by Rakuten Insight in the Asia-Pacific region in May 2024, 65 percent of respondents from China stated that they purchased apparel through live shopping events or streams. In comparison, about 37 percent of respondents from Japan bought consumer electronics such as smartphones, smartwatches, or headphones through live shopping events.
