In 2023, U.S. adults indicated in a survey the actions they carried out to improve their sleep quality. Around 35 percent of men reported that they try to go to bed at the same time every night. Around 39 percent of women reported they go to bed every night at the same time, and 39 percent also said they consume supplements or sleep medication. Other strategies included upgrading mattresses, pillows, or bedding, as well installing blackout curtains, using earplugs, and personal habits, like avoiding digital screens, the consumption of sleep nutraceutical, and aromatherapy.
