In 2022, construction began on 30,339 housing units in the region of Fès-Meknès in Morocco, the highest amount among regions that year. On the other hand, the region of Dakhla-Oued Ed Dahab commenced building around 481 new houses. This reflected a drop from the previous year, during which 6,549 units were started.
