Impairment classifications at the Paris 2024 Paralympics, by sports

* Para athletics at the Paralympics has 36 possible classifications, however, at Paris 2024 the following six were not featured: 31, 42, 43, 45, F58, and 61. The final schedule and results can be found here.

*** While there are two classes (W1 and Open), there are two different types of events in the Open classification; Compound Open and Recurve Open. In the former, competitors shoot from a standing position, while in the latter, they shoot from a sitting position. 

**** Wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby employ a points-based classification system, whereby each player is assigned points according to their degree of physical impairment. Players in wheelchair basketball are ranked between one and 4.5 points, and teams are not allowed to field a team of five players whose aggregate points tally exceeds 14. In wheelchair rugby, player rankings range from 0.5 to 3.5; teams field four players and cannot exceed an aggregate points tally of eight points.
