As of 2024, around 78 percent of Tech, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT) organizations disclosed scope 1 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions. On contrast, only 20 percent of firms disclosed scope 3 emissions.
Scope 1 emissions are those that come from company-controlled sources. Scope 2 GHG emissions are indirect emissions such as electricity used. Lastly, scope 3 include emissions from suppliers, waste, product use and transportation.
