As of 2023, mobile wallet transactions in Ghana accumulated a value of over 32 billion Ghanaian cedis, most of which were wallet to wallet transactions. That year, wallet to wallet transactions contributed around 27.2 billion GHS, roughly 1.7 billion U.S. dollars, to the threshold, followed by wallet to bank payments. Wallet to e-zwich transfer operations were the least popular in the country.
